Nemesis?

The ScientistIn Greek mythology, Nemesis was the goddess of divine retribution. On the intellectual frontier where natural history meets astronomy, Nemesis is a hypothetical companion star of our sun. The question in the life sciences and its engagement with contemporary politics, according to the current issue of The Scientist, is whether President George W. Bush is the worst enemy that American science has ever known.
