Positive Psychology Summit

Happiness

My thanks to Jim Chen for his invitation to join this blog.

I'm posting from a Positive Psychology Summit held at the Gallup Building in D.C.

I've attended 2 of these:
1st in 2003 when Daniel Kahneman presented a keynote speech entitled, Does Psychology Have Anything To Say to Policy Makers?

& 2d last year (having to skip 2004 due to presenting a paper about real options & litigation).
For more information, see these sources:
  1. The University of Pennsylvania's Positive Psychology Center.

  2. Happiness research: the BBC's report on a happiness formula.

  3. Some possible implications for government policy: websites by the Brookings Institute and the British Prime Minister's Strategy Unit.

  4. Possible applications to law: Idealawg and Dave Shearon's page on positive psychology applied to lawyers and education.
